Top Slop turns player text and photos into images shown to a shared room. Everyone who submits material is responsible for using content they are allowed to use and for respecting the safety, privacy, and dignity of the people involved.
These rules apply to display names, prompts, prompt parts, guesses, votes, uploaded or reference photos, edit instructions, feedback, generated results, and any other material submitted through the game or a related playtest. By submitting content, you agree to follow them. The private alpha is for people aged 16 or older.
1. Submit content only when you have the right and consent
- You created the material, own the necessary rights, or have permission to use it for the intended game feature.
- Every identifiable person in a photo has knowingly agreed to the photo being uploaded and transformed in Top Slop.
- You are authorized to provide any personal information appearing in the submission.
- The submission is appropriate for the people in your room and consistent with the current age requirement or published rating.
- The intended use respects privacy, dignity, safety, intellectual property, and every other applicable legal right.
- You would be comfortable with the submission and result being shown on the shared host screen to everyone present.
Being able to download a photo or find it online does not give you permission to upload it. Consent to take or publish a photo is not automatically consent to transform it with generative AI.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
Sexual exploitation, severe violence, and safety
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation material, sexual or suggestive content involving a person under 18, grooming, or any attempt to sexualize a minor, including fictional or generated depictions.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual deepfakes, instructions to undress or sexualize a real person, or threats to create or distribute such material.
- Pornographic or sexually explicit content, live-generated adult-only sexual content, sexual services, or nudity submitted for a sexual purpose.
- Graphic sexual violence, torture, extreme gore, or content that glorifies or instructs serious violence.
- Credible threats, encouragement of suicide or self-harm, instructions for serious wrongdoing, or praise, recruitment, or operational support for terrorism or violent extremism.
Abuse of people and personal information
- Hateful or dehumanizing content targeting a person or group based on race, colour, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, serious illness, or another protected characteristic.
- Targeted harassment, stalking, intimidation, blackmail, bullying, or content intended to humiliate or cause serious reputational harm.
- Doxxing or disclosure of a private address, contact detail, credential, financial information, health information, intimate fact, government identifier, or other sensitive personal information.
- Impersonation, fraud, identity theft, or a fabricated image, record, or piece of evidence intended to deceive people outside the game.
- A deceptive, defamatory, sexual, hateful, threatening, or materially degrading depiction of a real person, including a public figure.
- A photo or likeness used after the person depicted has withdrawn permission or asked the room to stop.
Illegal, infringing, and abusive use of the service
- Content or conduct that is illegal where you, another affected person, or Top Slop operates.
- Material that infringes copyright, trademark, publicity, privacy, contractual, or other rights, including a request designed to reproduce protected work unlawfully.
- Scams, deceptive commercial material, spam, unauthorized advertising, or fabricated evidence for use outside the game.
- Malware, harmful code, credential theft, attacks on systems, or instructions intended to compromise a person, device, network, or service.
- Attempts to bypass, disable, probe, or reverse-engineer safety measures; obfuscated prohibited prompts; or systematic testing intended to discover ways around moderation.
- Bots, scripts, scraping, denial-of-service activity, or other automation that disrupts the game, burdens the service, or manipulates play.
- False or abusive reports, interference with a safety investigation, or retaliation against someone who reports a concern in good faith.
3. Real people, photos, and minors
A party does not create consent on somebody else’s behalf. Do not upload a person’s photo merely because it appears online, because they previously shared it, or because another player knows them. If consent is uncertain, use a different image.
Treat photos of minors with particular care. Do not upload a minor’s image or personal information unless you are legally authorized, have every consent required by law, and the use is appropriate for the game. Sexualized content involving a minor is prohibited without exception and should be reported immediately.
If a person depicted asks you to stop, stop using the image and do not save, repost, or circulate the generated result. Contact support promptly if the image remains accessible through Top Slop.
4. Generated results are unpredictable
A permitted prompt or photo can still produce an inaccurate, offensive, frightening, biased, or otherwise unwanted result. A generated image is not evidence that an event occurred or that a depicted person did anything. Do not present it as real.
If a harmful result appears, stop displaying and sharing it, move away from that result where the game permits, and report it. Do not post it publicly merely to criticize it. Never send suspected illegal imagery through ordinary email.
5. Automated safeguards
Top Slop uses automated checks at several stages. Uploads may be rejected before storage; high-risk prompts may be blocked, repaired, or replaced; and generated images may be checked before display. Uploaded photos are also resized and stripped of embedded EXIF metadata.
A safeguard may make a mistake, and some prohibited material may evade detection. Passing an automated check does not make a submission permitted, accurate, or endorsed by Top Slop. Players remain responsible for what they submit and for stopping when a result is harmful.
6. Responsibilities in a shared room
- Choose a group and physical setting in which participants can safely object or stop playing.
- Make clear when a photo or generated result is about a real person and confirm consent before submission.
- Do not pressure someone to provide a photo, reveal personal information, or accept a generated depiction.
- Respect a request to stop displaying, discussing, recording, or sharing a person’s image or submission.
- Remember that the host screen is visible to the room and that another participant may independently record it.
- End or pause the session and seek appropriate help if content creates an immediate safety concern.
7. Enforcement
Depending on severity, context, intent, repeated conduct, technical feasibility, and legal duties, Top Slop may reject or replace a submission, prevent an upload or output from being served, end a room, limit or revoke alpha access, block abusive traffic, preserve relevant information, or refer a matter to a provider or lawful authority.
We may act without advance notice where reasonably necessary to protect a person, preserve evidence, secure the service, or comply with law. We are not required to display or process every submission, and we do not promise to monitor every room or communication. Safeguards and enforcement discretion do not authorize prohibited conduct.
8. How to report content
Use the in-game or Steam reporting control when one is shown. You may also write to support@topslop.ca. Include the room code, approximate date and time, game mode, what happened, and whether the content involved a real person or an urgent risk. Because room content ordinarily expires quickly, prompt reporting gives us the best chance to locate relevant records.
Do not attach or reproduce suspected child sexual abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, credentials, or other illegal or highly sensitive content. Describe it in words and wait for secure instructions. For an urgent content-safety matter, write to legal@topslop.ca with the subject “Urgent content report.” If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.
We may acknowledge a report and investigate it, but privacy, safety, and legal restrictions may prevent us from disclosing details about another person or every action taken.
9. Copyright, trademark, and personal-image complaints
A rights holder or authorized representative may send a detailed complaint to legal@topslop.ca. Identify yourself and your authority, the protected work, mark, image, or right, the Top Slop material or event concerned, the reason you believe the use is unauthorized, and reliable contact information.
Do not knowingly make a false complaint. We may request additional information needed to evaluate the claim and may preserve or disclose information where permitted or required by law. A report does not guarantee a particular outcome.
10. Requesting review of an enforcement action
If you believe a submission was blocked or your access was restricted in error, write to support@topslop.ca within 30 days when possible. Provide the approximate time, room code, game mode, access information, and a concise explanation. Do not resubmit the blocked material.
A person not involved in the original decision will review the available context when reasonably possible. We may uphold, narrow, or reverse the action. Urgent safeguarding, missing short-lived records, provider restrictions, or law may limit the review or the information we can disclose.
11. Privacy and retention
The privacy policy explains what information may be processed for moderation, reporting, security, and review; who receives it; and how long it is normally kept. These rules do not authorize broader collection or retention than that policy describes.
Other players may record or share content outside Top Slop. Their independent conduct and copies are not controlled by Top Slop, so submit only material you are comfortable showing to the room.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these rules when the game, safeguards, platform requirements, or law changes. We will publish the revision date and provide appropriate notice of a material change. The version in effect when content is submitted applies to that submission, subject to urgent safety measures and mandatory law.
Questions about these rules may be sent to support@topslop.ca. Formal rights complaints and urgent safety reports may be sent to legal@topslop.ca. Privacy requests belong at privacy@topslop.ca.
