Accessibility
Accessibility at Top Slop.
We want topslop.ca to be usable by as many people as possible. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We review the site’s code and generated pages and test keyboard behavior, text contrast, reduced motion, language metadata, and content structure.
If something prevents you from finding information or contacting us, write to support@topslop.ca with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology involved if you are comfortable sharing it. We aim to acknowledge the report within five business days and will provide the information in an accessible format while we investigate.
What this site does today
- Every page is server-rendered HTML and works with JavaScript turned off.
- A skip-to-content link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Keyboard focus states are visible, including the skip-link destination.
- Body text meets AA contrast on the site’s near-black ground; small labels were lightened until they did.
- Motion is limited to hover transitions, and all of it stops under prefers-reduced-motion.
- Language changes are marked in the document, and every page links to its exact counterpart in the other language.
Known limitations
No material barrier was identified in the local code and generated-page review. Independent screen-reader and user testing is not complete. Third-party destinations and downloadable files may have accessibility behavior outside our control.
Scope of this review
This was an internal technical review, not an independent WCAG certification. Browser-based screen-reader, 200% zoom, high-contrast, mobile reflow, and assistive-technology user testing remain to be completed before commercial launch.
